We'll travel to Riviera Maya, Mexico October 6-10, 2016 for 4 days of yoga, meditation, workshops, and adventures!
Our Resort: The El Dorado Royale
The El Dorado Royale, a Karisma resort, has been voted one of Conde Nast traveler's Top 100 Hotels in the world. The resort provides indulgences from gourmet cuisine (a true foodie's paradise) to a lavish spa and concierge service.
The resort boasts 7 restaurants featuring cuisine ranging from traditional Mexican to Italian, Caribbean, and Asian, along with numerous bars, live music, and a theater with nightly shows.
Retreat guestswill enjoy the accommodations of a spacious (590 sq. ft.) Jacuzzi Junior Suite (1 king or 2 double beds), which includes a contemporary bathroom with double sinks, glass-enclosed showers, an in-suite Jacuzzi for 2, and a private terrace or balcony.
Our Itinerary (all activities are optional for participants)
Thursday, Oct. 6: Depart STL, arrive Cancun at 9:07am on Frontier Airlines. Transfer to El Dorado Royale, check in. Enjoy the property and an early evening group yoga practice.
Friday, Oct. 7: Enjoy an early morning meditation, a morning and/or afternoon yoga practice, and all that the El Dorado Royale and adjoining properties have to offer. We'll also offer a free essential oils class where you can learn how to add oils to your health, wellness, and spiritual practices.
Saturday, Oct. 8: Enjoy a morning and/or evening yoga practice. Relax at the resort OR join the group for an afternoon canopy adventure, ziplining through the tree tops ($99 per person).
Sunday, Oct. 9: Take part in a sunrise meditation, as well as a morning and/or afternoon yoga practice. Enjoy the resort amenities and activities, or schedule an off-property tour like horseback riding, scuba diving, or a visit to the ruins. Join us for a vacation "book club" discussion on a topical book (to be selected by the group prior to the trip).
Monday, Oct. 10: Check out, transfer to airport. Depart Cancun, arrive STL 1:07pm

Our Yoga Practice
Paula Haltenhof will be our primary instructor on this retreat. Other 200-hour certified yoga teachers may also offer classes and meditation practices throughout the 4 day retreat. We will practice yoga and meditation in a variety of beautiful, private spaces throughout the resort, similar to those shown here.
I was initially drawn to yoga as a physical practice, but have learned that it is a powerful tool for self-discovery and self-improvement mentally and spiritually as well. There is a connection between how we practice yoga and how we live life. I believe both should be done with patience, kindness, courage, and a sense of humor. A yoga retreat is an opportunity to give yourself your undivided attention; to be truly present. Whatever your reasons for coming on the retreat, I welcome you. My classes include many options for different abilities, linking breath with movement. I hope you join us.
